FAQ

What is a Direct Care Model?

Affordable cash prices. Same/Next business day appointments. In-person or telehealth options.

Sound good?

Direct Care takes out the middle man that is insurance as well as all the other voices in healthcare that are not your physician or their nurse. Patients will pay a monthly membership fee (and never a co-pay).

Do you take insurance?

Short answer: We do not. We are Self-Pay (cash, check, credit card) for office services. We do not process or bill insurance.

We can order labs and imaging through your insurance.

Who can become a Member?

Anyone ages 12 – 64.

(We currently do not see age 65+)

Do you provide routine OB care and deliver babies?

Short answer: No. We have chosen to focus primarily on staying in the outpatient setting, and would love to see you for prenatal counseling issues, your perinatal (pregnancy through postpartum) mental health issues, and postpartum (and beyond)!

What are the “Tracks” that Members can choose from?

There are two tracks: Standard Primary Care and Perinatal Mental Health. Click on each for a summary of services.

What if I want to be seen but I’m not ready for Membership?

Check out our menu of Pay Per Visit Services on our Pricing page.

What are the additional fees?

We believe in transparency. No hidden fees! We plan to tell you exactly how much things will cost on our end. Members pay a monthly membership fee.

In-office testing and procedures, lab work, imaging, and prescriptions are the responsibility of the Member. (Patients will be provided an itemized list of office meds/procedures and pay a small markup from wholesale price.)

Benefits of Membership:

  • Priority in scheduling
  • Unlimited access to a physician who knows your story
  • Discounted Labs & Imaging

Do you take Walk-Ins?

No. We are By Appointment Only at this time.

This sounds like a good fit. What is the best way to contact you?

Emailing Hello@Laddertothestars.blog is best. You are welcome to text our number (850) 359-1519 with name and contact information. The slowest form of communication will be phone calls/voicemails.

If I contact you, how soon will I hear back from you?

Please allow 2 business days.

We’re so glad you’re here!
