Breastfeeding Counseling is Available to ALL!

Patients do not have to have a Membership in order to receive Breastfeeding Services.

Options include:

  1. An Initial Breastfeeding Assessment – We take time to watch/observe baby feed, learn your prenatal and birth history, and address any issues. This visit it a great ‘first visit’ and can be done In-Office OR at a Home Visit (Dr. Brooks comes to you!). Generally lasts up to 90 minutes.
  2. A Breastfeeding Follow Up Appointment – This appointment is a follow up for a patient who has already seen Dr. Brooks for an Initial Assessment. Generally lasts up to 45 minutes.
  3. A Breastfeeding ‘Troubleshooting’ Appointment – This appointment is generally shorter, and one-problem-based (i.e., concern for Mastitis, fungal infection, etc). Generally 20 minutes.
  4. A Prenatal Breastfeeding Assessment – This appointment is for a pregnant woman (can bring a support person) who has more personal medical questions about her upcoming breastfeeding journey. It involves a physical exam, discussing specific concerns, going over her medication list, and more! Generally 1 hour. This is recommended for after you have taken the Breastfeeding Class.
  5. A Back to Work Visit – This appointment helps you determine a pump schedule/regimen for going back to work. It can be done prenatally or postpartum! Generally 1 hour.
